Maggie Bailey began selling moonshine at the age of 17 to support her family and continued until she was 95. She was a life-long resident of Harlan County, Kentucky and was so well liked by her neighbors, that a jury found her guilty of illegal activities only once, though she was tried many times. Later in life she used some of her profits to send local kids to college.

Kentucky Cooler
1 1/2 oz. bourbon
1/2 oz. rum
1/4 oz. orange juice
1/4 oz. lemon juice
dash grenadine
1 1/2 oz. bourbon
1/2 oz. rum
1/4 oz. orange juice
1/4 oz. lemon juice
dash grenadine
Fill mixing glass with ice. Add ingredients and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
