ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND DEPORTMENT: LUPEC
ARTICLE ONE
Ladies United For the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails (hereafter LUPEC) is hereby
formed, March, 2001, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
ARTICLE TWO
LUPEC is intended to be a women-only social club that will meet once a month to try out
vintage cocktail recipes, vintage hors' d'ouvres recipes and vintage bar and serving ware.
ARTICLE THREE
The active membership of LUPEC shall neither be less than 5 or more than 12.
ARTICLE FOUR
Meetings shall take place on the first Sunday of every month at a designated member's
home.
ARTICLE FIVE
Meetings should be thematic with cocktails, hors' d'ouvres, decorations and music
pertaining to that theme. The themes should all, in someway, pertain to women's history.
ARTICLE SIX
The meeting must feature at least 2 different vintage cocktail recipes and at least 2
vintage hors d'ouvres recipes. Choices for these are made by the host member and
announced in the invitation.
ARTICLE SEVEN
Minutes shall be kept by the LUPEC secretary concerning cocktails, hors' d'ouvres, and
other important points of business at each meeting.
ARTICLE EIGHT
When membership is less than 12 a field trip will be substituted for an in-home meeting.
ARTICLE NINE
For times when membership is at 12 the option of a field trip in place of, or in addition to,
regular meeting may be voted upon. Each member, however, will be required to hostess a
meeting within a year of her membership.
ARTICLE TEN
Each member is financially responsible for the hosting of her meeting.
ARTICLE ELEVEN
The purpose of the club is social but with an acknowledged subversive feminist agenda.
Attempts to overthrow and undermine the patriarchy will be encouraged at all levels and
at all times.
ARTICLE TWELVE
Members attending the meetings are expected to support their hostess member by
dressing--or at least attempting to dress--according to the theme of the party. Lack of this
particular joie de vie may get your ass kicked out of Eden.
